Year 13 Camp 2025. Written by Student Leader Pavelyn Rous

On Wednesday 19 February, Year 13s embarked on a two nights and three day camp at Tapapakanga Regional Park.

During the time at camp, we split off into four separate groups, and in our teams, we had to work together to get through whatever challenges were thrown at us. While working on these activities, we were challenged on our teamwork and perseverance skills. Still, by the end of it, everyone got more comfortable and closer with one another, which was reflected in the results of each task.

A highlight of camp was seeing how every group was able to work well together and be so creative. An example of this would be our wearable arts project where each team had to create an outfit for one member of the group to model using only toilet paper. The creations that were made truly showed what putting different-minded people together could achieve!

At camp we were well fed and well looked after. Being in such a communal space allowed for deeper connections between all of us and the teachers.

Overall, it was an incredible experience which everyone should do!
