Te Kura Tuarua o Te Kauaeranga/Thames High School invites applications for a fixed-term position in the science department, commencing in term 1, 2025. The role involves teaching Level 2 and Level 3 NCEA biology and general science from Year 9 to Year 11 and other subject(s) that the candidate may teach. Please state teaching subjects.

Our collegial, well-resourced department works collaboratively and aims to allow every student to realise their potential.

We are open to applicants from experienced and beginning teachers, who can take advantage of our excellent PCT programme.

Te Kura Tuarua o Te Kauaeranga/Thames High School invites applications for Head of Health & Physical Education.

This position is a great opportunity to strengthen your curriculum leadership as you will lead a team of 3 to 4 teachers in a medium-sized school.

We are seeking an inspiring, collaborative student-focused leader with an awareness of current culturally responsive education practice, who enjoys fostering positive relationships and develops staff and taiohi/young people to reach their true potential.  We have a very supportive staff and working environment.   Please state other teaching subjects.

The ability to teach up to NCEA Level 3 Health, and Physical Education and/or Outdoor Education is encouraged and an advantage.

Co-curricular involvement is encouraged and an advantage.
