Due to promotion, a vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic leader of our dynamic health and physical education department.  We seek an inspiring, collaborative student-centred leader with an awareness of current culturally responsive educational practice, who enjoys fostering positive relationships and developing staff and young people. We have a very supportive staff and working environment.

Start date Term 1 2021.

Ability to teach Level 3 and Scholarship Health and/or Physical Education an advantage. State other teaching subjects.

Co-curricular involvement expected.

Teacher of Art/Photography

Full time, LTR (Maternity Leave)

Start date Term 1 2021.

We seek an inspiring, collaborative student-centred teacher of art, who has an awareness of current culturally responsive educational practice and enjoys fostering positive relationships and developing young people. This position also involves teaching Year 7 and 8 Art Design. We have a very supportive staff and working environment.

Ability to teach up to Level 3 Visual Art and Photography, and at least up to Year 10 English is an advantage. Please state any other teaching subjects.

Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

(Part-time 0.5 FFTE , Permanent; 1MU + 1MMA, depending on experience)

Our SENCO will foster and model values such as inclusion, social justice, integrity and excellence for all ākonga / learners. This leader will play a key role in building teacher, whānau and ākonga capability to develop and strengthen a deeply caring and collaborative community of practice, including working with Learning Support Coordinators, RTLB and other external agencies. You will have great interpersonal skills and effectively manage resources, including teacher aides, to support students with identified additional needs.

We are situated on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula in a friendly semi-rural and coastal environment. This area abounds in tramping, boating, camping and many other outdoor
