School Transport Assistance | Āwhina Haerenga ki te Kura

Students may be eligible for Ministry-funded assistance if they:

  • Live more than 4.8 km from school (free bus), or
  • Live more than 2.4 km from a bus route (transport allowance)

Current bus routes include:

  • Thames Coast (Tapu, Waiomu, Te Puru)
  • Puriri/Matatoki
  • Kauaeranga Valley

To use the bus service, student must complete a transport agreement, and behave appropriately. Failure to comply may result in the school or the bus provider removing access to the service.

Motor Transport | Waka Whaiaro

Students travelling by private car, motorbike, or scooter (as driver or passenger) must:

  • Have written permission from a parent/caregiver
  • Gain approval from a Deputy Principal
  • Provide vehicle make, registration, and licence details (updated each term)

Misuse of this privilege may result in suspension of permission for one or more terms.

Boarding Allowances | Ngā Pūtea Noho

Boarding allowances may be available for families who:

  • Live too far from a suitable secondary school, or
  • Cannot access specialist subjects locally

These allowances help cover the costs of accommodation.
