Te Kura Tuarua o Te Kauaeranga sent a team of riders to the Waikato/ BOP mountain bike trail regional competition at Te Miro MTB park on Thursday 14 March.
Our team made up of part-time riders, non-riders and give-it-a-goers from years 9-12 arrived to some uncertain weather conditions, along with uncertainties about what to expect or how they will go in the unknown of never being in an event like this.
Our team did us very proud with top 10 finishes against seasoned riders, we should not doubt the effort put in by all our team in some tough conditions and rider quality in the field.
They are looking forward to the next event and I encourage others to inquire with Tess about joining the team. Thanks to the whānau who came over to support us, shout out to HydraLink Thames for having our riders back.
