Welcome to the Student Support Hub. Below you will find key information, daily schedules, procedures, and support services available to students, parents, and caregivers.
Signing In and Out

Late Arrival or Early Departure: Sign in or out using the iPad at the Student Support Office (SSO) and take a printed slip to class to update your attendance record.

Leaving School Grounds: Proof of permission is required (message, phone call, email, or appointment card) sent to studentsupport@thameshigh.school.nz or attend@thameshigh.school.nz
Sickbay & First Aid

Accessing Sickbay: Ask your teacher for permission, carry an Orange Teacher’s Pass or a written note, and report directly to the SSO (one student at a time).

Policies & Facilities: No phone use while in the sickbay. First aid–certificated SSO staff provide basic first aid. Two AEDs are available on site.

Student Sign-Out: If picking up an unwell student, ensure they are signed out using the iPad at the SSO.
Uniform Assistance & Hire

No. 1 Uniform Hire (Blazer, White Formal Shirt, Tie): Complete a hire form at the SSO. Items must be returned as soon as possible after the event. Unreturned items by term-end will be charged to the student’s account.

Temporary Uniform Loans: Clean, temporary spare uniform pieces are available at the SSO. Please return items clean (or inform staff if unwashed) and ensure staff record the return against your profile.

Incorrect Uniform / Uniform Passes: Try on available loan stock first; a Uniform Pass will only be issued if no suitable stock is available on site, even with a note from home.

Purchasing Uniforms: New uniforms can be purchased via NZ Uniforms.
Guidance & Health Services

Guidance Counsellors & Youth Workers: Visit the SSO to book an appointment or to self-refer to a youth worker.

Pinnacle Health Clinics: Free nursing check-ups are open Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternate Fridays (9:00 am – 3:00 pm). Complete a booking request slip at the SSO and place it in the black box.

Free Period Products (IKURA): Available anytime at the SSO—take whatever you need.

Mobile Dental Van (Dental Planet): Visits once per year for unregistered students (online registration form required)
Academic & Daily Support

Timetables & Enrolments: Visit the SSO for class lookup, printed replacement timetables, and enrolment queries (including Primary Technology).

Subject / Option Changes: Request a form from the SSO, obtain a caregiver signature, and meet with your year-level Kaiāwhina or Deputy Principal to confirm the change.

Daily Progress Reports: Collect generic or customised report sheets from the SSO in the morning. Present the form to teachers at the start of each period and collect it signed at the end. Return the completed form to the SSO at the end of the day to be reviewed, logged in pastoral records, and emailed to caregivers.
IT Support & Device Passes

Device Pass Requests: Collect a request form from the SSO. Submissions are reviewed termly by the Deputy Principal. If approved, caregivers sign an agreement form before the pass is issued.

Wi-Fi & IT Help: Visit the SSO to request single-device Wi-Fi access, reset Google account logins (requires an annual IT agreement), or seek general ICT support.
Bus Passes & Helplines

Bus Services: Visit the SSO for bus agreement forms and replacement bus passes.
