Mufti Day Friday 5 April – Gold Coin Donation

This Friday we have a mufti day, which is being organised by the School Council.  The proceeds of the mufti day are going to Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand.  This is the leading organisation in New Zealand dedicated to supporting patients and their families living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood conditions.

Since 1977 their work has been made possible through fundraising events and the generous support that they receive from individuals, companies, trusts and grants. They do not receive government funding.

With a vision to cure and a mission to care, they are committed to improving the quality of life for patients and their families living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related blood conditions. Funding goes to their core services – patient support, research, information, awareness and advocacy.

This is a very worthy cause, many of our students will know of someone who has had leukaemia or some other related blood condition.  This is a chance to support an organisation who are doing great work in our communities and I encourage all of you to make sure that your gold coin donation on Friday is a $2 one!
