International Students November Programme

During the weeks of 11th to 22nd November the International students participated in a programme of excursions and activities around our region, while their Kiwi counterparts were studying hard for their exams. The students visited the Miranda Shore Bird Centre and swam at the Miranda Hot Springs, cycled on the Haruaki Rail Trail from Waihi to Paeroa, had a tour of the Thames Timber sawmill and visited the Waiau Water Works. They also explored the underground Nikau Cave, with its glow worms and stalactites, visited the picturesque Cathedral Cove and dug themselves a hot bath at Hot Water Beach. Finally they were treated to a days’ shopping and movies in Auckland. All of the adults and students had a great time on the various trips, all agree it was a fantstic way to end the school year!
