Japanese Students Visit Thames

A group of 11 students from Misaki in Japan visited Thames High School in August, joining classes including PE, Food, Drama and Maori.

The students and their teachers also visited a local goldmine, and Thames South School, as well as going rock-climbing and doing a bit of shopping in Hamilton.

The students come from a range of schools in Misaki Town, which has a population of about 110,000.
The trip was a great opportunity for the Japanese students to experience a different culture, climate and location.

Likewise, it’s a great opportunity for THS students to get a glimpse of Japanese culture.
