Work on the hall foyer is complete and the upgraded facilities are already being put to good use.
The kitchen was put through its paces when Thames High School hosted cyclists on the Kiwi Crusade circuit around the peninsula.
The cyclists slept in the hall, and parents, students and teacher Jenny Bloom did the catering as part of Hillary Challenge fundraising efforts.
