Earlier this year the English Department offered Year 9 and 10 students the opportunity to test their English skills against students from 400 schools throughout New Zealand. We are delighted to share with you all the news that Ruby Molloy attained the highest mark in the 2019 Year 9 Kiwi English Competition run by the University of Canterbury.

Ruby received her certificate in the full school assembly on Friday along with 23 others. These students received an Achieved results: Alexis Blake, Max Crook, Stella Hamilton, Alana McKee, Joshua Nankivell, Maddy Beaufill, Daniel Chen, Haidee Hallmond, James Harvey and Violette Hollis. The following students gained a Merit result: Riley Elliot-Hoff, Milly Hinson, Luke Moxsom, Mary Wiki, Grace Wood, Jimmy Jamieson, Sian Lees, Harry Oxford, Daniel Palmer, Summer Visick, Chalise Wise. We also have Delilah Ballantyne and Charlie Newton receiving an Excellence result.
