Tāpapakanga Regional Park Camping for Year 13

On Wednesday 6 March the Year 13 went to camp at Tāpapakanga Regional Park for two nights and three days.

In groups of twelve, they participated in multiple activities and were challenged to work together and learn new things about each other.

One of the highlights of the camp was the spider web challenge, a test of agility, coordination, and most importantly, teamwork. Picture this: twelve individuals, each with a unique set of skills and perspectives, manoeuvring through a tangled maze of ropes without making contact or doubling up. It was a feat that demanded creativity, communication, and support for one another.

“It forced us to think creatively and communicate with one another, which helped us grow closer and more comfortable with each other.” -Nia Wilson Student Leader

Throughout the camp, we were fed nutritious meals and were well looked after. This experience has led to our Year 13 group becoming closer having built connections with each other and the teachers on a deeper level.
