Key Information

THE SCHOOL DAY:
The school day is from 8:45am – 3:20pm. Thames High School is running a 10 day timetable.
On every day, except Wednesday, there are three 100 minute periods each day.
On a Wednesday there are two 90 minute periods, one 100 minute period, as well as a Learning Advisory time.
The mid-morning and lunch breaks vary according to the day.

ATTENDANCE:
Students who have good attendance at school are more likely to achieve well.
Any absence from school for ill-health, medical or dental appointments, bereavement etc requires an explanation from parents/caregivers.
We appreciate parents/caregivers phoning, emailing or texting in, either on the day or prior to the absence. 
Family holidays should be taken during the school holiday periods.
To text in, send a text to 3255. The text must start with the code thsc followed by a space. Please include your child’s name, year group and reason for absence.
