Thames School of Mines will be running “Gold Panning” every Wednesday and Thursday during the September school holidays. (dates – October 1, 2, 8 & 9, together with Sunday 5th). Sessions run from 11am to 3pm, cost $7.00 each. Sessions last about 1/2 an hour. For more information please contact
Unfortunately it has been necessary to cancel the Junior Social that was planned for Thursday 25th September, due to lack of tickets sold. Students that had paid can either get a refund or carry this amount over for the next social – please see the Accounts office to organise.

Congratulations to Cole McDowell who has won GOLD at the New Zealand Short Course Swimming Champs in the 200m Backstroke. Cole won the race in 2.06.95 beating his personal best by over 4 seconds. Cole’s final telly of medals for the champs has reached 4, with a silver in the
