The Thames High School squash team of Casey Owen, Nikki Kennedy, Nicole Cameron, Georgina Murphy, Liz Richardson and Rita Whitfield competed in the NZ Secondary Schools Team Tournament last weekend, placing 13th in the competition.
The final match against Tauranga was closely contested with Thames winning 16-14 in the fifth game!
The girls were amazing ambassadors for the school, showing great team spirit and supporting each other.
At the prize giving the NZ Secondary Schools Team to play against Australia was announced – congratulations to Casey Owen on her selection for the team, and to Nikki Kennedy selected as non travelling reserve.
