Congratulations to Ginell Sim, (year 11 student) who has been very successful in the 2013 Restyle Competition held in Hamilton recently. Ginell won the ‘Trashy Time Travel Section’ with an outfit which consisted of a gown, leggings, belt, ear rings and umbrella all created from recycled bicycle inner tubes which were shredded and restyled into a woven fabric for the skirt, and bodice which also had sculpted ferns and cutouts. This outfit was also awarded the Supreme Award making her the over-all winner in a competition which has competitors from all over the Waikato and further afield. This stunning gown will be on display next term in our ‘Creative’ display.
