Term two, week three will see the Thames High School annual celebration of reading and writing. The week promises to be a busy one with the Literature Character Dress Up Competition held in the hall on Tuesday morning; this is always a hotly contested event with high participation from students in years nine and ten. The week also has poetry writing and literary quizzes for all students. The highlight of Book Week has always been the trip to Auckland to hear internationally renowned writers speak about their work. The trip will take place on Wednesday.
